We are very proud to share that last weekend, our very own KUD Ljiljani participated in Smotra Folklora 2025 in Utica, NY! It was an incredible experience, and our girls represented us beautifully.
A group of 13 girls, led by choreographer Selma Mandžo Preldžić and coordinator Zineta Borogovac, worked hard to prepare for this event — and we are deeply grateful and proud of their dedication, talent, and love for the cultural heritage of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
This year’s Smotra brought together 11 KUDs with over 200 dancers from across the United States, and more than 800 attendees — family, friends, and supporters — including members of the NEFBIH Board who came to cheer on the dancers and celebrate this event.
This event also marked a special milestone for our team: two teenage sisters and longtime members of KUD Ljiljani, Iman and Nura Borogovac, had the opportunity to choreograph a portion of the performance and help launch our new teen team!
We’ll soon share professional photos and videos, but for now, here is a preview of this amazing weekend — along with an invitation for new members! If your child is interested in joining our community and preserving our rich heritage through dance and tradition, we would love to welcome them.
