On February 27th, 2016, NEFBiH organized a commemoration of Bosnian-Herzegovinian Independence Day at Tufts University. Our 2016 Statehood Day Commemoration was hosted by Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to the United States, His Excellency Haris Hrle, who also gave the keynote address. The commemoration featured a panel discussion with the theme “A Future Deeply Rooted in the Past” and topics: human rights under the Dayton Peace Accords for all citizens and the influence and potential of diaspora in the economic development of Bosnia and Herzegovina. The panelists were: Dr. Bruce Hitchner (Tufts University, Professor of Classics & International Relations and Chairman of the Dayton Peace Accords Project), Dr. Esad Boskailo (Physician & Author of “Wounded I Am More Awake: Finding Meaning after Terror”), and Armin Alijagic (Founder of “Nasa Perspektiva”/“Our Perspective”)
