NEFBiH’s Annual Genocide Awareness Campaign
NEFBiH’s Annual Genocide Awareness Campaign started off with a simple online photo campaign “ROAR for justice…Srebrenica Genocide Remembrance Day”, in July of 2013. Since then, our campaign has reached hundreds of thousands of people through virtual events and commemorations in the Boston and Cambridge area. We kick off our campaign in May, with team participation in the Annual Project Bread Walk for Hunger (Team: I Walk for Prijedor and Srebrenica), commemorating the anniversary of genocide in Prijedor, and ending on July 11 th – the anniversary of the Srebrenica genocide. Our campaign usually consists of five to six events in this time period. Each year, we aim to improve our campaign in order to make a greater impact. Even through our campaign mostly focuses on Prijedor and Srebrenica, it serves as a symbol of commemoration and aims to honor of all those affected by the 1990s atrocities in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
